We have new vacancies available for full time, Qualified & Experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our hugely sort after Mead Open Farm Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard.

This full time, permanent position, will be working 40hrs per week, on various shift patterns between our opening hours of 7:00am-7:00pm. Working in this unique environment, based upon a farm park, the role will be extremely rewarding!

Roles and Responsibilities
• To support the day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the nursery facility.
• To ensure that developmental records for your key group are kept up to date.
• To support your colleagues and work as part of a team in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children.
• To assist in the development of an attractive stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays relevant to the age and needs of the children in the nursery,
which encourage independence, self-motivation and eagerness to learn.
• To treat information of matters relating to the work within the nursery as confidential.
• To ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene and welfare whilst maintaining adequate supervision of the conduct of the children attending the nursery.
• To ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• To help support the management team to ensure that the Ofsted standards including EYFS is followed at all times.
• To support the management team in striving to deliver an outstanding setting
• Any other duties that may be required.
What we are looking for:
• A full and relevant Early Years qualification
• Experience working with children aged 0-5, ideally in a Day Nursery setting
• A passion for working in Early Years
• Flexibility and reliability, due to our location a full driving licence and transport is preferred.

Due to ongoing popularity at Mead Open Farm Day Nursery, we are excited to announce that we are now looking for an experienced and confident Room Leader, who can support our Nursery Manager at this expanding farm setting.
Please note the nursery is open from 7:30am-6:30pm, Monday to Friday and so shift patterns will be rotating within these opening hours. Though we can be flexible dependant on availability. Please apply for more details.

Responsibilities and Duties
- To take full day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the room facility.
- To help maintain staff records and assist with appraisals and supervisions.
- To provide an attractive stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays relevant to the age and needs of the children in the setting, which encourage independence, self motivation and eagerness to learn.
- To establish, in conjunction with the childcare SENCO, individual programmes for any children with special needs.
- To treat information of matters relating to the work within the setting as confidential.
- To ensure any injury or accident or suspicion of non accidental injury are recorded correctly or reported.
- To ensure a high standard of hygiene in relation to staff, children, equipment and surroundings.
- To ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- To ensure that the Ofsted standards including EYFS is followed at all times.
- To support the nursery manager in striving to deliver an outstanding setting.
- Assist in the recruitment process for your allocated age group. Helping students and trainees to settle in and make a contribution to the assessment of the students and trainees performance and to ensure high standards are continually being met.
- To open and close the nursery alongside deputy and nursery manager
- Any other duties that maybe required
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for a confident Room Leader, or perhaps a Senior Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career? You will be motivated to hit the ground running and add value to the our fun and hard working team. You will thrive in a busy environment, and always be on hand with new ideas and activities. You will be confident in all areas of the EYFS, and delivering planning, supporting and mentoring other staff and leading the team forward. You will be qualified in Childcare to a minimum of Level 3, and ideally have experience in a similar role, either as a current Room Leader, or “stepping up” into the role when required.
